I am ditching my Axiotron Modbook, and good riddance to the hunkajunk.
I'm sure alot of you have seen these macbook mods and thought geezy creezy, thats exactly what I need. I thought so too, until I made the grievous mistake of actually buying one.
I've had it for 2 years - (six months of which it was not working at all and finally took 600 bucks to fix- the 'mod' voids the original warranty of course) and can generally say that when it actually worked, it was fine, great even .. but overall, it can't be depended on, except to freeze, lock up or crash completely when you need it most.
Its like the idea - turning a macbook pro into a tablet, the only one on the market at the time- was so good that they scrambled to get a slapdash operating system for it and get the sucker out on the market pronto, and if it never quite worked properly, well WTF right?
If it had ever worked properly, it would have been exactly what I need.
Instead, it was an overpriced, unreliable, clunky, heavy, poorly supported disaster area in a box, and quite possibly the biggest waste of time money and effort I ever bought. It cost me thousands more than the original price in repairs and lost work, tech support was a seldom visited BBS that was utterly useless, and- well, you get the picture.
Now, the stylus ( or more exactly, the crappy software thats supposed to drive it) has quit utterly, what I'm left with is- just a macbook.
I'm going to donate the thing to a kids charity here, since the original macbook will still be a good learner rig for some cambodian schoolkid. If it quits on them, they can hollow it out and feed chickens with it or something.
So, if you have been looking at the ModBook, do yerself a favour and look at something else.
Anything else.

PayPal, at last! Now accepting (paid) requests...
Just did my first pin-up commission and I am finally able to receive payment via PayPal, so if you want something 'custom' I can do it, including NSFW and specialty pieces, I can do it for (what I am told) are quite reasonable prices. Typical restrictions on content and proof of age will apply, of course. What can I do for you?
What to draw next?
these days I am drawing comics for a new anthology series here in the UK... its not much money (hardly any in fact) but I am looking around, asking around... I like to draw comics, themes tend to be sci fi fantasy and horror, and (as you may have noticed) I like drawing sexy women too . I need to find a way to turn a buck though... earlier this year, the idea of doing requests in here went well- so well in fact that I was almost immediately swamped and had to disappoint a few people when a paying job came up. So is there a compromise? If I kept the price low, could I get into doing paid commissions? I'm also looking for other anthology projects where I could contribute comic art. There also seems to be a market out there for erotic, NSFW and specialty artwork, and you know, that's what I'd rather do anyway. Open to suggestions...
Uhhh...
Uhhh...
Bizzy Bizzy Bizzy
Its been months since I had time to draw anything other than work stuff.
Frustrating, seeing all this great detailed dA work out there, while I'm reduced to tiny scribbles,
but thats storyboard work for you. Dasn't bitch I spose, since I'm getting paid, but I'd love a few
days off in which to draw just for kicks... oh well, maybe next year.

I've always heard mixed views on the Macbook, but the negative opinions outweighed the positive, of course they are a huge company, so they will just continue selling it. Argh.
